Nothing helps to crush your hopes during a job search (which is long, hard, & frustrating) than seeing in bold red at the top of a job information page: "you do not qualify for this position" before you even apply for the job. Lame...

Well I did it. After 5 years, several major changes, countless memories & lots of fun, I finally graduated from college. I had such a great time at McMurry & met so many great people who have shaped me & helped me grow as a person. I will never forget what I learned here & will definitely miss the campus, its people, & all the great times I had there.

Today was a pretty historic day. It was the day that I took my last test as an undergrad & the last time I sold my books back to the bookstore. I took my religious epistemology final for Dr. Kinlaw & sold my books back to a store called Books 2U, across from HSU, because they give you a lot more money than the McM bookstore does. This here is my sweet "I'm thug, rolling in the dough" shot with my $41 buyback on my books. You know you're jealous of my swag!

At the Region 14 Service Center there are a lot of different conference rooms & each one is named after a county in the region. We were there today to attend a Twogether in Texas relationship & marriage seminar & we spent most of the day in the "Jones Room" How perfect is that? We also got the $60 fee for the licence waived because we attended this event so out marriage license will be super cheap, hooray!

Yay RLC rummage sale! We found some great stuff at the sale, including this little Chevy basket thing. It probably doesn't seem like a treasure to anyone else but us, but it has a lot of value for Liz, her mom, & myself because her dad worked for GM building Chevy cars & trucks. It was really great to find this little guy.

Happy Easter! Today was a great day, but not so great for this tree last night. There were really high winds & rain last night & this morning on the way to church there were branches & leaves blown all about. By the donut shop in town this tree was split in half & it definitely made me double take as I drove by.

There are so many wildfire burning around the Big Country & its getting crazy. I woke up this morning & could smell the smoke from the fires in Abilene. Our cars even had ashes from the fires on them. I hope the fires get under control soon or rain comes soon so that no more people will get hurt & no more property/homes/or businesses will get destroyed.

Creole for "City of Hope", Cite' Lespwa is a fantastic event organizer by Lindsey Lowry to raise funds & awareness for the 800,000 people in Haiti still living in tents. It has been going on since Tues night & will continue until next Tuesday. I sent some time out there today for RLC lunch & did a little panhandling & it was really awesome seeing how generous the people of Abilene can really be. If you have a chance definitely go check out Cite' Lespwa!

So the tail gate on this truck had the most "Anti-Obama" collection of stickers & junk that I've seen since the super sketchy gas station that we stopped at on the way home from our MTC retreat in New Mexico. I can understand not always liking the President & different things, but you should at least be respectful to the man since he his running your country. & if you are that upset about him being president then you can always move somewhere else (& then probably complain about the leadership in that country too).

I had my first sub job at Clue Elementary School today for a second grade class. It was quite the experience but I enjoyed it very much. The kids seemed to enjoy me too & I got a lot of hugs They liked my name I guess so a few of them wrote me some sticky notes with my name all over them as a going-away present.
